I had to send my phone back to the manufacturer for repair as it looks to have a swollen battery. From what I had seen on their website, it appears to still be in warranty, so should be covered. However, when I have checked the status online today it says out of warranty, but that they haven't yet received the phone. I'm not yet able to phone them as my spare phone has a missing sim tray (new one was ordered last week and is on its way to hopefully arrive tomorrow).
I've looked online and the cost of a new battery is £48. I don't have that spare as I'm on UC and not able to work due to disability. I also don't have anything that I can sell.
I know there's still a chance that the repair is covered by the warranty, however, I'd rather ensure that, if it isn't I can afford the new battery.
There must be a way I can make the £48 that isn't one of the usual options (trust me, if I was able to work, I'd be doing everything I could to find something or take extra hours), I'm just really struggling to think of something. If anyone can help, I'd be grateful and willing to look into any ideas.
