How tall is your 11 year old DD?

My daughter is very self conscious she has always been tall but it has become more an issue in the last years of primary school.
She was born in January so not the oldest in her year but she is the tallest and we spoke about it yesterday when she took part in a video with her bubble for leavers.

She is 5ft 5 right now, taller than me..
Size 5 shoe
Wears 16 years clothes

I was 5 ft 3 age 11, I didn’t grow anymore after 😂.

Dd is 4”7 and she’s 11.5, she feels too short!

My kids must be diddlers. She is 5ft now at 15

I was about 5’7” when I left primary school and stopped at 12 at 5’10”. I was horribly conscious of it at the time but love it now.

I had the same issue, I was bigger than everybody in my school and I hated it so much, I felt completely abnormal. In year 6 I had size 5/6 feet and was 5’6. When I got to secondary there was loads of people my height and I actually hardly grew any more - I am now 5’7 :)

I think I was 5 ft 9 at that age with size 7 feet. I am 6ft 2.

I was 5ft 2 at nine and the tallest in my class I'm still 5ft 2 with size 3 feet .

Opposite issue in our household. My almost 12 year old is 4ft 7 and desperate that come September and year 8 she won't still be the shortest in the school

My daughters friend is 11 and is 5 foot 10 with size 9 feet.
She’s been much much taller than her classmates since nursery.
As far as I’m aware she doesn’t get picked on for it.

I was exactly the same height with the same shoe size at 11. I stopped growing at 13 reaching 5ft7 tall and shoe size of 5 and a half. I think there’s a theory that girls don’t really grow for more than about 2 years after they start their periods but I don’t know how true that actually is.

i was 5'4" at 11 and I was one of the tallest in the class. However, I was still 5'4" at 18 when I left school!

I was 5'8" at 11. Stopped at 5'11". I u understand girls tend to stop growing two years after they start their periods (true in my daughters case, she hadn't grown since she was 12).
5'5" is just barely above average. You should encourage her to embrace her height - I certainly never saw it as a disadvantage.

I was 5 2 in year 6 and hit the giddy heights of 5 3 as an adult.

Dd1 is 10 and is 5 ft. Her sister (also 10) is about 4ft 9. Dd2 is taller side of average in her class and Dd1 is second tallest in her year.

DH is 6 4 and mil is 6 1. Dd1 tall since a baby so I am kind of expecting her to be tall. Dd2 I think will be shorter but hopefully taller than me.

Both are only at the start of puberty so I figure we'll see growth spurts in the next year.

My 10 year old is in year 5. She is 5'7, size 5 feet, clothes size 6 women's or age 14 if we can find anything. Her periods started just as she turned 10. Her dad is tall, I am average but was tall at her age then stopped.

My DD is 5’3” with size 6 feet. I am 5’11” and DH is 5’8”. DD has grown 2 inches in lockdown!
