4 year old and nightmares

I’m feeling quite drained and not sure how to help my four year old (soon to be 5). She started back at school two weeks ago and is loving it, but I guess her mind is in overdrive. Virtually every night at the moment for the past two weeks she is having nightmares about snakes, spiders, crabs etc being in her bed at night. Sometime she’s drifts back off once I have been in and sometimes she is awake for a couple of hours, doesn’t want to lay in her bed (understandably if she thinks there are snakes etc in there). Any advice on how to help her and combat these would be welcomed. Thank you,

has she got a night light? It might be worth getting her one that is left on all night. Tell her when she wakes up, and has a nightmare, she needs to pull her covers back so she can see there aren't any snakes/spiders, or come through to you so you can do the same thing.

You could also let her spray 'bug spray' (water with a few drops of lavender oil in a spray bottle) around her room before she goes to bed each night
