Quiz round help. Pleeeeeease!

I'm all quizzed out.
Since lockdown we've had a Sunday night quiz with work friends. It's enjoyable BUT the winner writes the next round of 4 sets of quiz questions and I've done several of the weeks.

It's potentially the last one, and I want it to be fun and promote chat between the players, rather than concentrating on the questions.

I've so far done...
Celebrity baby photos,
rude place names,
who is older from celebrity couples,
guess the cocktail,
guess the chocolate bar,
anagrams disney films,
food trivia

We've also done a scavenger round, and someone did an observation round from photos from our fb (very good) and a generation game type of memory game (funny).

Any amazing ideas that can work online on google hangouts?

Name the song from the lyrics worked well at the one I did recently. I think identifying the lyrics that followed would’ve worked just as well.

Liking celebrity baby pics.
We’ve had some popular picture rounds, including cars from movies, sweets and places.
Lyrics from famous songs was a good one, as was guessing if songs made it to no1 or no2. Dh is working on one where you guess the song based on the intro.

DH's weekly team quiz has a round called 'bad waxworks' where you have to guess the celeb from the awful pics of 'bad waxworks'. Very, very difficult.

Also along similar lines is the round called 'bad taxidermy' where you have to guess what the original animal was.

the DC had one the other week where you had to Guess How Much Stuff Is In Stuff eg how many Wotsits in a packet how many bits of sweetcorn in a tin, how many frozen peas in a bag. The question master claimed to have counted...

We did a round where me, DH and 2 DD's all recreated scenes from films and they had to guess what they were. It took us ages and they were all naff but we had so much fun doing it and it went down really well x

Photo of lesser-known member of famous band - which band is it?
Brand logos - guess the brand from the symbol
Flags - I think we had countries beginning with C
Name that tune - from the intro
Guess who from the first sentence in their autobiography
Name that perfume
Crisp flavours

Either get everyone to mute or the quizmaster wears headphones. They then 'act out' the lyrics of the song as they're being played.

Very funny, especially after a couple of drinks.

We've done

Name that cheese
Sex toy or gadget
Who is that? - each player sent me a pic of close up body part and everyone had to guess who it belong to.
Arse or Elbow - if you google you'll find the picture quiz already done for you

Obviously not a high brow evening but it was hilarious!

We've also done... chickens or dickens. Excellent round - were the names breeds of chickens or characters from dickens?
And pony, polish or porn star - with names and you had to guess if they were a my little pony, a nail polish or a porn star.

I think I like the idea of 'bad.....whatever'.

The price is right, complete with Bruce Forsyth masks? One of my work colleagues is in a weekly quiz and that seems to have been one of the more memorable ones they’ve seen

The three best ones we’ve done are:

  • guess who’s fridge round where each person had to send in a photo of their fridge in advance,
  • guess the location from a google earth screenshot
  • guess the celebrity and guess the location from drawings done using the quizmaster’s feet or small child
