Child scratched eye

Any advice welcome. Ds scratched dds eye, she cried but was fine. Throughout the day she has spells of screaming and crying it’s sore then magically fine again for an hour. If it was sore the whole time I would know she needs to see a dr but has anyone any idea why it would be fine then sore then fine etc? Thanks

Poor thing if it’s a corneal scratch she will be in pain, as much painkiller as she’s allowed for her age group and plenty of cuddles, see a dr as soon as possible or ring 111. Hugs.

Yes I had exactly this. I went to A&E and they gave me some cream which soothed it. As Holothane says it is really painful when it catches.
