Seaside holiday recommendations

Hi, I'm planning a holiday for DH and I for September. I'm looking for somewhere in the UK, as I'm not sure borders will be open by then. We're looking for somewhere on the coast with plenty of restaurants and things to do, rather than a sleepy village. We live just south of London but happy to travel anywhere in England. Any recommendations?

Come to Falmouth, it’s a busy town with great restaurants, on the coast and in easy short drive to the north and south coast. Loads to do.
