This happened locally to me.

A man out with his kids on a father's Day walk with their dog, this time last week those kids were alive, they were healthy. Hell they were probably planning what to buy their dad with their pocket money.

And now they aren't here because a selfish pig decided he had the right to get pissed and didn't want to part with a few quid through a taxi.

He.ploughed through them, they didn't stand a chance and all 3 died at the scene along with their poor dog.

FFS,THINK.

Their poor mum probably thought that knock on the door was her kids coming home for tea. But no, it was the worse she could imagine.

We know it happens, we know people on here have drink and drive, we know people on here have moaned about family members doing it. Please, do the right thing. Get that taxi home. Don't be afraid to snatch car keys off friends and family who have drank too much.

Imagine being that mum, waiting for her kids to come home and getting a shitty, plastic bag filled with their belongings today.

I can't begin to imagine how the mother feels. What senseless loss of life.

Sarzy82 · 22/06/2020 17:12

Disgusting and heartbreaking. He deserves to get a very severe prison sentence, not just a few damn years like most get.

itsgettingweird · 22/06/2020 17:33

That is just so sad.

You've also written that very powerfully.

Anyone that drink drives is a twat anyway.
But you'd have to be a heartless cunt to read them and do it again.

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 22/06/2020 17:39

He had four, previous drink driving convictions. Why was this allowed ??

There's a heavy cloud over this little corner of Cumbria today.

Honestly. It isn't worth it. Two families are now destroyed, the victims family and the drivers family too.

You're so right in everything you said OP. What an utterly heartbreaking tragedy for the victims and their loved omes. If it's true the driver had several previous drink drive convictions it seems he is completely lacking any moral compass, he was probably driving without insurance and deserves a very severe punishment.

Yes, not far from me either. It's awful Sad
