Does anyone have days where this just doesn't seem real?

I am plodding along with life as it is at the moment, trying to make the best of it but out of nowhere I will have days where I can not get my head around what is going on and I feel like I have been hit by a truck.

It's really odd. It really effects my mood. I am wfh and very fortunate to still have my job at full pay (although I am not sure how long for) but I am of the mindset that what will be will be.

Today it just seems crazy in my head that this is all going on. I keep expecting to wake up from it.

Yep from the moment I got the shielding letter , I just kept thinking and asking how was it allowed to get to this stage ? It's like some bad scifi movie. I'm baffled every day about the fact that nobody seen the signs or even worse than they seen them but ignored them. Its surreal and I think it has psychologically damaged a lot of people , myself included.

Every day I'm less and less motivated to do stuff

This completely.

Yes, I got an unexpected positive result for COVID yesterday.

DDs and DH were tested yesterday, and I'm anxiously awaiting their results.

I was convinced we all had it a few months ago, the positive result makes it all feel very real and scary.

The lockdown is making me feel more and more detached from reality. When I go out on a pavement dodging walk the people I see don't seem like real people.
