Does anyone get horrendous itchy feet at night?

Omg my feet at night! Sooo itchy and first thing in a morning.
I know I've got a tiny bit of athletes foot but this itching at night has gone on for months and months.
I'm wondering if it's another bloody bizarre peri menopause thing?

Any cures? I've been slathering moisturiser on them but it doesnt help much!

Not so much now but I did get this in perimenopause a few years ago. So it could be that but might also be worth a gp visit to make sure it’s not something else. 🦶

Shit. I have never had this until I just read this thread Angry

No but I've noticed that in normal weather (that is apart from June to Aug when it's warm at night too) my feet seem to be terribly cold and keep me awake unless I wear socks to bed even though I can be quite fine in sleep shorts and t shirt on the rest of my body. It didn't happen when younger.

I don't think it's menopause related as DP has this periodically. At its worst, he lies there scraping his feet together like a tone-deaf cricket. He has had athlete's foot and seems quite susceptible to fungal infections in general. Maybe another brand of anti-fungal cream and some anti-histamine cream too so you don't make your feet rawer and consequently itchier until the toadstools accept defeat?

I used to get this every night so it could be peri menopause related as I've just realised I haven't had it for ages. E45 itch relief cream was a life saver for me.

I spoke to consultant about this when having HRT reviewed. She said it’s a very common symptom in peri-menopause due to hormonal imbalance/fluctuations. I had bloods done and all normal e.g, thyroid etc.
I agree, it’s often worse at night. Mine’s usually feet but sometimes hands or body. What works for me are Sudocrem on feet and taking antihistamines. Hope it passes - it’s very uncomfortable!

I've had this since I was about 20! Not the whole foot but just on one arch

Drives me insane! Been to the doc who were no help and suggested moisturiser, but it's not dry

Very hot itchy feet has been a peri menopause symptom for me. It’s horrible ☹️.

Yes! This is exactly the same as me although I’m not sure if it’s one arch or both and sometimes it’s my toes. It wakes me up in the night. Skin is not dry, no sign of anything wrong, doesn’t happen in the day.

I had this during pregnancy. It stopped when I gave birth.

But put some Lamasil Once on in case it's Moccasin athlete's foot setting in which trust me you really don't want.
