I've always used what I thought was an ok skincare regime - cleanser, toner , moisturiser with an SPF in the day and a night formula overnight. In the last couple of years I've started double cleansing as I wear make up most days.
Now I discover I should be using hyaluronic acid and vitamin c for day and retinol at night. I'm confused about what to buy and if any of this replaces what I already use. For example do I still use moisturiser during the day? Or separate sun screen? Superdrug seems to have some reasonably priced options but is this a case if you get what you pay for?
Can anyone suggest some products and the order in which I should use them please? I'm 50 with ok skin. I have dark circles under my eyes but they are genetic I suspect. I don't often get breakouts but do have some large pores. I am very pale and avoid the sun as much as I can.
We have someone shielding in the household so I can't get to a beauty counter at the moment.
