Does this look like a verucca? Its on the side of my little toe, noticed it about a month ago and though i had got a splinter (gardening in flip flops...)

Wasnt sore at this point so was picking it to try and get the splinter out.

Over the last week or so its started getting pretty sore and tender to touch. It has a little black centre which may be a splinter but may also be the middle of a verucca i think?

What do i do to get rid of it? I kinda want to attack it with tweezers and nail clippers but i think its too sore for that.

You really need to be careful with soft corns.

Your best bet is to cushion it until you can get to a chiropodist.

There are gel 'tubes' that you can buy and cushion plasters (although I don't recommend trying to stick anything to the white skin).

What would a chiropidist be able to do in terms of treatment?

Is it not a good idea to pick off the peeling white skin?

I'd say that actually could be a verruca. More protruding because it's not on the under surface of the foot. You need to show a chiropodist/podiatrist or gp yto confirm. Dont pick the soft skin in the mean time.

So i started freaking out a bit about it as the centre of it is getting redder since taking off the plaster, so i sent the pictures to my friend who is a GP (pretty handy!) And she said it looks like an infected splinter, but doesnt think its a corn. She told me to leave it alone and stop fussing over it 😂 but that if it gets redder it might need antibiotics as it looks infected. Dp thinks im being incredibly dramatic about a little blister on my toe 🙈

If you possibly can see a chiropodist.
