Since our summer holiday abroad is cancelled my friend has very kindly offered us the use of her second home (she rents near us and this is her own home IE not a holiday cottage).
She hasn't been there since pre covid 19.So we could use it as a base It is on the North Yorkshire coast(near Sandsend/Whitby).She would be grateful someone was checking the house too as obviously she hasn't been there since Christmas and as NHS won't be going anytime soon.
We were thinking about going end of July if travel restrictions relaxed but just not sure if it is a good idea.
would be my DH and myself we would spend most days walking the coast and forest /moorland . Would local eateries be offering take out /food delivery? Not bothered about pubs
Could always just eat at the house I guess .
What is supermarket shopping like?
Do locals want visitors or is it a bad idea?
The idea of a break somewhere else is appealing even if it is a very low key break.
Would you go?
