What are you doing today?

Very little. Trying to get children off screens. Running with DS1. Cupof tea in garden with my Dad. Wish it was more exciting.

Having a late breakfast now after a terrible nights sleep.

Need to do a quick top up food shop, have been off work this week, back in tomorrow and need some lunches for the week.

This afternoon probably watch a film and relax before sorting through the washing to put away.

Maybe a Sunday roast ready for tea time if I can be bothered 😀

Very little. It's the first father's day since my Dad died so I'm not feeling that cheerful, the DCs have got school work to catch up on and I should be doing housework, laundry and other stuff but I can't get motivated. I'm sorely tempted to go back to bed with a good book.

Boring housework mainly because we were out all day yesterday so need to catchup

Been up since 830 and done three loads of washing, cooked lunch and dinner is on the stove
Follow that with some ironing, vacuuming and dusting upstairs.

what an exciting day I have planned! 🤣

We are taking DD and her bike a long the seafront and getting fish and chips if it stays dry! Despite living at the sea side my entire life this will only be the second time I’ve eaten chips at the beach!

On the beach. It's really quiet!

The beach sounds tempting but we'd have to go to Wales - I don't think we're allowed to yet are we?

Lazy morning so far. Both me and dd2 on phones, at the kitchen table, with a cuppa.

Dd1 still in bed.

I've a bit of sewing to finish - a friend asked me to make a couple of cotton masks for her dh so finishing those & probably help dd2 with her project a bit more.

Steak tea with the girls' dad for father's day later on.

Got up at 6am with the 2 DC, have made a nice breakfast, watched Charlie and the chocolate factory and will go to visit my dad once the baby wakes from his nap.

Very little. This morning I saw a thread on here that said the world was due to end today. I was looking forward to that but now think I might be disappointed. I hope to get DC to get dressed and do something other than look at screens at some point but I don't know what. We have a family zoom meeting this afternoon and we are skyping my in-laws later.

Thank you. Currently listening to my next door neighbour having a great time in his garden with his grandchildren

I have pruned two pine trees, done a load of laundry, thrown away a scented candle in a glass jar which DH knocked over while hoovering behind the furniture, and eaten some kippers. Currently drinking coffee and watching The Magnificent Seven on the telly.

And it wouldn't surprise me if I am the only person on the planet who has done those exact things today.

Had a lie in then cleaned the bathroom, had some lunch next I'll sort washing, tidy round whilst DH is preparing our bedroom for decorating. Kids are relaxing on various devices and/or colouring.

Fucking housework. We're both back at work full time but dh isn't keen on having the cleaner back in at the moment. He's been told he is not sitting on his arse all day and can pull his weight.

Got up and did a zoom yoga class at 9am, did a load of washing, hoovered and faffed about in our newly decorated home office.

12.30-1pm motivated adult dc to get their lazy arses out of bed in time for our local pub to deliver Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious

Now, am lying on the sofa with a post prandial glass of wine contemplating either a nap or watching a film

Had hot lunch so all cooking out the way, cutting DS hair, doing a raid in the game I play. DH has a deadline so working most of the day, so will watch one episode of the box set we are watching together. Have done some laundry and cleaned out the fridge.

Got back from the beach just now, it was fab. Kids had a great time in the sand and I read lots of my book. The sea air has exhausted us all so showers, pj's, a film and easy dinner are in order then organising uniform, lunchboxes etc.

@lootsharks I hope you get to go to the beach soon.

Worked. Laundry. Sleep. Watched 2 episodes of Ozark. More work - to prep for the week.
