Next door neighbour having a party

My next door neighbours are having a party in their garden. There's quite a few people there which I believe is breaking lockdown rules as they aren't socially distancing. The problem I have is they are just shouting & chanting & swearing really loudly. It's awful to hear. We and most other neighbours have kids and I hate to hear swearing around children.

Would you complain or just hope it's a one off and leave it?

Call the police

Shut you windows and doors, put something on to drown out the neighbours.

DisobedientHamster · 20/06/2020 21:19

I'd hope it was a one off and leave it.

I'd hope it's a one off. Close the windows, turn the TV up

Feel your pain, ours too OP although we live in a block of flats we are 2nd floor, young couple on the ground floor with about 10-15 people on the communal lawn. DH just putting DD 5 to bed! (It’s right under her window Hmm It sure is the longest night....
There’s a couple of other people in the next block who have kids both on the Ground floor will worse for them. Thinking they could of been considerate & put a on the note on our communal reception about the party Hmm

My dickhead neighbours have done this weekly and police won't do anything as one of their own is there.

CaptainCallisto · 20/06/2020 21:44

Our neighbours are also doing this. Weekly. Every Saturday evening they set all the chairs up in their front gardens, line up the booze, and put the music on. They're all off their heads by ten, then the music gets louder and louder, usually segueing into really bad karaoke at about two in the morning. The police couldn't care less. DH consistently has to do a full shift on a Sunday on less than two hours sleep Angry

What's your main issue? Is it the noise and swearing or is it the lockdown rules.
Lockdown rules seem to have gone out of the window with the protests, visit to the beach and Primark shopping!
The nose would bother me more if it goes on after 11pm

I don't have any advice but my neighbours did the exact thing the other day. It was a Sunday night and they were out until midnight!

I didn't call the police because they'd have known it was me. But it does really pee me off that people feel they can do whatever they want and they get away it.
