What's everyone up to today?

I haven't started one of these in a few weeks & couldn't see one so here it is.

I'm having a cuppa, listening to the birds in my trees and a dog barking somewhere. The neighbours children, who are always in their garden, aren't out yet so it's nice and quiet.

The girls are still sleeping; the three of us went to bed late so they'll probably be in bed another hour or so.

We're not really doing much I don't think. The kitchen ceiling needs a lick of paint, the hoover could do with being shoved round downstairs, and there are bananas that need turning into something else rather than going in the bin.

Dd2 has been learning to sew with my machine this week so we'll probably do a little bit more of her project. I expect dd1 will watch another musical & play SIMS.

Not a clue what's for tea yet. We had takeaway last night because I couldn't decide but can't do that again Grin.

What about you lot? Anyone up to much? :)

I'm still in bed, as are the kids and the cat. I will get up in a bit to sand some woodwork in preparation for gloss painting.
DH is going out cycling. I would go with him, but I am preserving my energy for DIY.

Mrsjayy · 20/06/2020 10:34

Scotland can now meet up with 2 household a SO I'm going we are going to my parents garden with wine and my sister is meeting us there Smile weather dependent but it looks ok so far.

Mrsjayy · 20/06/2020 10:36

I've made up my meatballs and sauce so they are in the fridge so I don't have to worry when we get back.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 20/06/2020 10:38

DP was up and out to work early. DD and I are under a quilt on the sofa. She’s watching YouTube Kids and I’m reading the entire internet on my phone.

Ocado has been, so we’ve got a nice, full fridge. Not sure what we’re having for lunch - possibly baked potatoes, with sardines in tomato sauce and broccoli. DD has developed a passion for sardines in TS and I’m happy to indulge it.

When DP gets home, I’ll probably zip over to my parents’ and deliver Father’s Day presents — and the Mother’s Day stuff I’ve been holding onto since lockdown began. This’ll be the first time I’ve seen them since the start of March!

Bloodybridget · 20/06/2020 10:40

I am trying to shift a migraine, have gone back to bed twice but can't sleep now. We're supposed to be getting together with some family members at lunchtime, but I don't know if I can manage it. I have to do some cooking for tonight.

eyesbiggerthanstomach · 20/06/2020 10:47

Toddler is watching Bing downstairs. We did some colouring and played with duplo after breakfast but I feel tired already and am under my duvet in bed. He will come up in a bit no doubt and start bouncing on my bed.

He will have lunch later and then we will both have a nap.

I'm getting Father's Day presents ready and there are jobs to do in the house but it looks like it is going to be a lazy day.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 20/06/2020 10:48

I moved house last week so doing a bit of unpacking. We'll go out for a walk later and watch a movie this afternoon.

amusedbush · 20/06/2020 11:41

I’ve spent the last week decorating my home office and today I have the hideous task of building all the new furniture, putting up shelves and prints, etc. I’m trying to psych myself up to get started but I know it will be worth it when it’s finally finished!

pumpkinpie01 · 20/06/2020 11:49

I need to go into town to get some stuff to make a Father's Day card , his present hasn't arrived yet so I better get a few presents too. Will bake a lemon cake with my ds6 . I'm hoping my dd and her bf go somewhere today that me and ds6 can tag along to to break the day up .

RosieLemonade · 20/06/2020 12:34

Ironing, washing, sorting washing, put a curtain pole up. DD had a zoom dance lesson. Today should have been her show. DH is mowing the lawn so the afternoon will be spent in the garden. I want to go to matalan but I’ll just be spending money I can’t afford. Back at work properly next week so this is the first actual weekend weekend in 3 months!

H1978 · 20/06/2020 13:21

Not been out in 3 months other than a handful of trips to the supermarket so taking a big leap and driving a couple of hours to Stratford upon Avon for a day out with dh and kids. Not gonna lie, feeling very apprehensive and on edge. I hope people are respecting the social distancing rule and it’s not too busy 😬

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 20/06/2020 13:36

DH has discovered Zoom and gets work done that would have been left if his normal schedule were still on (lots of travel and meetings in pubs and book shops) i. e. collating four different editions of a novel roping in people from all over the place. He is content again Smile!

And I am devising a cunning plan - last summer vacation DS (AS) learned to buy and cook everything he likes to eat, the summer before he learned to do his washing. This summer it's cleaning - he needs a detailed plan and a reason for everything plus environmental pros and cons. That's my day sorted!

Willowmartha1 · 20/06/2020 13:40

Having a rubbish lockdown birthday for my dd ! See my post under parenting entitled 'fed up' !!!

ssd · 20/06/2020 13:42

Just been a lovely walk with a friend from work, house us empty now I'm back, yeeha Grin

Nice day, will do usual washing, am in Scotland so not going far.

Frownette · 20/06/2020 13:45

Cursing at my DVD player, I had breakfast then got cup of tea and biscuits and snuggled back under the duvet to watch something...then the screen went.

That means finding the packaging and sending it back to amazon so about a trillion months for a refund.

Might go to a seafood place later, bit of tidying and packing. That's it really

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 20/06/2020 13:46

Been to the Yorkshire wildlife park - was fabulous to have a day out - all very well organised, lots of signage and respectful people.

DS is napping on my knee now Smile

LizzieMacQueen · 20/06/2020 13:52

Not much. Going to have lunch in a minute. Having broadband issues so that needs looking at before work on Monday.

Have a load of washing on and bedrooms hoovered this morning.

I'm Scotland too but sadly no-one has suggested a meet up 😟 with us. Have one planned in a fortnight though.

Billyjoearmstrong · 20/06/2020 13:55

Bugger all as usual (nothing to do with lockdown).

Just sat here wasting away the day on my phone. Dh gaming, Dd playing, teen Ds won’t surface until 4pm. Same as it ever was.

happypotamus · 20/06/2020 14:13

I moped around this morning while DC watched tv (videos of people playing minecraft) this morning. Now they are making crafts for Fathers Day. They still haven't got dressed and 1 only just had lunch. I wanted to make them go out for a walk but we probably won't get round to that before it's time to start thinking about dinner. DH has gone on a 60 mile cycle with friends.

monkeytennis97 · 20/06/2020 14:16

Went for a walk in the fields around us then 20 minute jog on treadmill. More treadmill later and then an evening walk... trying to lose weight!

anothermansmother · 20/06/2020 14:17

We've all been up a few hours, I made pancakes but could face eating any as I'm really wheezy and don't feel right ( hayfever setting off asthma). I need to get the house cleaned up and go out to get some fresh air but I'm currently sat in the bed waiting for the energy to go and get showered.
My gm has just called asking me to pick up some items from the shop for her. So I'll have to go and do that.

lachy · 20/06/2020 14:22

Have been out for a walk, picked up a few bits from M & S, just about to make Banana loaf, for fathers day so not a lot.

Quite enjoying doing not very much.

Misty9 · 20/06/2020 15:00

Kids are on the wii and I'm sitting in the sun on my phone. Feeling very on edge as am waiting to hear if my offer on a house has been accepted.... Confused
