Pubs opening for street drinking

Am I the only one who thinks this is a disaster?

Pissheads in the street drinking, having to walk in the road to get around them. Where are they going to the toilet? Will the loos be open in the bar? After a Friday/Saturday night can you imagine the vomit in the street will this not be an infection risk?

I'm particularly concerned because I live in a renowned party town full of bars. Worried about the additional strain on the a&e department.

All I want is for my ds to be able to play in the park and go round my dms house! Despairing it really is.

Anyone else comfortable with street drinking?

Where have you seen this? I’ve not heard of it and not every person that goes to a bar is a ‘pisshead’ The vast majority are perfectly capable of drinking responsibly

Yes, but it's been going on for at least a fortnight round here

I've no idea where people go to the loo. Bushes in a park? Not everyone pees in the street (esp if not much cover)

Or they all roll back to someone's house I suppose - heard first party into the small hours last night. Made me realise how nice it was to have those weeks of quiet.

I sounds like a nightmare for anti social behaviour but I'm not convinced about the pressure on A&E etc. We've been hearing that after every outdoor gathering and it hasn't happened yet.

I also haven't heard anything about it. Some pubs here are selling "takeaway" though which seems to amount to the same thing.

It's a daily fail article I'm afraid but it's their current headline.

I feel sorry for people near the pubs who will have people being loud outside their window all evening too

Step away from the Daily Mail (and get a grip) Hmm

2 bars in our town have been doing take- away drinks in plastic cups for a while now.

No anti- social behaviour like noise or fighting! BUT - loads of litter (the plastic cups and food packaging) in the little park nearby where people go to have the drinks and absolutely no social distancing around the bars with people getting the drinks and chatting in big groups.
