Physics book for 10 year olds

DS is 10, behind at school but is very interested in Physics. How motors work, surface tension, that kind of thing. I've no idea how to explain it to him in a way that he can understand it. Is there a book which explains the basics of physics to a 10 - 11 year old and his mum clearly and understandably?

This series of books are great. Not just physic, all of them. We found them at library, and my dc loved it at that age.
