Has anyone seen the statement made by Laurence Fox which has appeared on my FB this morning? If so does anyone have the IT skills which I lack and could share it please?
It is well worth a read if anyone can find it.

What’s the racist Katie Hopkins-wannabe said now?

Playdonut · 19/06/2020 11:58

Has he seen the error of his ways? Or is it yet more racist bile?

MashedPotatoBrainz · 19/06/2020 11:59

Can't imagine anything he states is 'well worth a read'.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/06/2020 11:59

Hope I don't see it, he's vile.

LittleRa · 19/06/2020 12:00

He’s “called out spoiled millionaires for turning against their creator JK Rowling” (I googled it).

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/06/2020 12:03

A spoiled millionaire calling other people spoiled millionaires. Yawn.

It’s yet another attempt to align racism and sexual harassment with the GC movement.

The argument goes: GC feminists are attacked and abused for making statement and holding opinions that go against what contemporary “woke” culture believes acceptable, ie that men can become women (actually it’s not “woke culture” it’s an insidious push by well-funded MRA and religious extremists groups exploiting trans rights to attack women and gay and lesbian people).

The argument goes that GC feminists are being attacked for their views, and that is censorship Orwellian “wrongthink.” I agree with the argument so far.

The argument then extends that any attempt to police or disagree with ANY “non P.C.” statement/opinion is ALSO censorship and wrongthink, even if the statement/opinion in question is “sex with minors is fine and healthy” or “Neo Nazi ground have the right to hold rallies and protests.”

Ergo, being GC and being racist/Nazi are one and the same, and feminists should support the white supremacy movement because we are both victims of leftie wokester liberals.

I’ve lost count of the number of threads I’ve seen lately actively trying to conflate the gender critical movement with the Neo Nazi protests and anti-BLM and racism in general, in a sort of “but Nazis are just like GC feminists in that we’re always told that our opinions are wrongthink too, we’re being censored, you’re being censored, so GC feminists should support Nazis!!”

I don’t know if their agenda is to attack and discredit GC feminists or whether it’s to defend racism, but it’s an incredibly worrying and insidious form of control and frankly gaslighting.

I am GC. I decry racism. Please stop telling me that being against racism makes me a “wrongthink Big Brother censor.”

Please remember Fox sexually harasses women and mocks them, and is now trying to gaslight us into thinking that him being called racist and misogynistic is “censorship” even though he’s been given a massive undeserved platform just because he was involved in a racism scandal of his own doing.

Can you summarise?

The child hangovers must be tense in that family.

Perhaps I just haven't paid attention but surely LF is just a posh, right-wing knob, rather than a Nazi?

ArriettyJones · 19/06/2020 12:36

Handovers (not hangovers Blush).

CathyComesHome · 19/06/2020 12:38

Oh God I wasn’t saying Fox is a Nazi!

I was just saying the comparison with GC feminists is one I’ve seen on many BLM/anti-racism threads lately, including ones defending the recent big anti-BLM protest in London where protestors were making Nazi salutes.

PicsInRed · 19/06/2020 12:40

He's not terribly bright, so I wouldn't worry too much about his opinions.

JellyfishandShells · 19/06/2020 12:41

He’s not racist - what he said was totally twisted. I think he’s brave.

CathyComesHome · 19/06/2020 12:42

Yeah he is racist.

CathyComesHome · 19/06/2020 12:43

I think he’s brave.

So sick of seeing men being called “stunning and brave” for trampling over women’s rights.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 19/06/2020 12:44

Brave. Hilarious. He's a knob who is enjoying being controversial because it gets him attention.

donquixotedelamancha · 19/06/2020 14:11

I agree with that characterisation. I think it's similar to them leaping on the quite reasonable anger at child sexual exploitation in some norther towns as a justification for their Islamophobia.

I was just surprised with your lumping LF in with Katie Hopkins and the far right. I wondered whether I'd missed something.
