Help! I have navy eyebrows

Ok so I usually dye my own brows with Eyelure dark brown dye. I needed to do them today as they were getting a bit gingery white. Well apparently I'd run out of my normal stuff but not to worry, I have some eyelash dye left over from god knows when. I'll give that go, right?
Wrong. It's blue/black. My eyebrows are now navy. NAVY. Wtf can I do??

Have you any facial toner? If so give them a good rub with it and it should lift the blue tinge

They don't seem blue in the pic. Could it be just your lighting? I wouldn't re-dye anythime soon, as the skin there is quite sensitive. Can you correct with a slightly lighter eyebrow pencil?

Are you working outside the home or need to go out daily?
Large sunglasses?
Black mascara or eye liner, lightly dabbed on the brows to cover the navy?

Yes micellar might work. Go gently, a friend of mine ruined her newly tattooed eyewing by using micellar.

I guess it doesn't show up as well in photos but there is a definite navy tinge. Plus a smudge due to my crap technique. I will try make up plus brow pencil and see what happens. Gah

Fortunately I'm wfh and not going anywhere. It'll give DH and the kids a good laugh though. Micellar is having no effect whatsoever

Bless you. Maybe it will fade a bit after washing your face with soap a few times. You know, like hair dye can wash off a bit after you wash your hair a fww times.

Have you got high alcohol hand sanitiser? Give them a good scrub with that.

Do you have any face oil? Or oil of any kind really? I got dye all over my brow area and it rubbed off within a day with a couple of rubs of oil and it took the dye down a bit.

Use an oily cleanser.

I'd just redye them tbh. Cover with brow pen or something til you do it.

Would anti dandruff shampoo or washing up liquid work perhaps? They're often recommended to lift hair colour that's gone wrong.

Don't panic! It will settle to black in 24 hours or so. I always use blue-black dye on my eyebrows because I like it for my lashes and can't be bothered to mix up 2 lots of dye so I just whack it on my brows too. Even on the first day, nobody's ever noticed...

Do you know anyone that smokes cigarettes? My hairdresser aunty used to use cigarette ash to clean off hair dye from around the hairline. I've never tried it on eyebrows, but might be worth a try if desperate.

thank you all! DH howled with laughter then told me it was more purple than navy. I know it will fade soon - I hope!! And I've found some large sunglasses which disguise them for my trip to Click and Collect later

@Elouera thank you! DH smokes I will ask him to save me some fag ash.

This occasionally happens to me but they go purple - I always use the same dye so I must sometimes mix too much/too little developer. Always calms down in a day or so, if I want to speed it up I put oil on my brows and leave for 20 mins them wash off.

Just for men is much cheaper than eyebrow dye and does the same job...

They look fine to me.

Head and shoulders shampoo is always mentioned in these sorts of situations so might be worth a try?

Seriously, it will fade before you know it. It's not as if they're turquoise! Please don't put fag ash on the delicate skin around your eyes! Even if it works it is a disgusting and dangerous thing to do.

Well the baby oil was bugger all use but I did find some large sunglasses so all is well till they fade. They are a rather fetching shade of purple for now 😀
