Have been seperated from husband for just over 3 months now after a pretty rubbish 5 year marriage, 2 DC’s under 5.
He was really difficult at the start of separation and has gone through the cycle of denial, anger, apology, rinse repeat etc. But now has announced after months of trying to ‘save’ our marriage he is ready to move on.
Do I pounce now with filing for divorce and risk rocking the boat or wait until he announces he’s found a new partner?! Really don’t want things to take a backward step as have only just got to the stage of not being scared to look at my phone every time it goes off incase it’s him. He has always been reasonable where visiting DC has been concerned but outside of that he has been a nightmare up until recently. We have no reason to stay married in practical terms, no jointly owned home no shared finances etc.
The only things that have stopped me until now are not wanting to cause even more tension and also low income on my part.
