Wowee - under normal circumstances would not get excited about planes flying overhead ( has been blessed reliefTo not have much over lockdown ) but it was exciting to see the Red Arrows and the Patriuille de France zooming in perfect formation over the house, then run in and see them fly over Buckingham Palace.

The weather has been crap all day and then the skies cleared .

Seemed apposite on the day that the death was announced of Dame Vera Lynn at the age of 103.

I'm so glad to see your post! I was stupidly excited when I saw the route and that they were passing near me, then I saw the weather forecast and thought it would be cancelled. But the skies cleared and I went to my planned vantage point and was absolutely delighted to see the flypast. I don't know what it is about the Red Arrows, I've seen them a few times and get so ridiculously happy each time.

The weather did not look at all promising . So many around here ( SW London) got very excited about it - even my 20 something DDs.

Wow! Only saw a FB post of it butit must have been fantastic!

My sister and I were visiting Osborne House many years ago when the Reds flew over...I cried! I cry every time I see them!

I flipping love the Red Arrows. Try to see them every summer and they make me cry as well. My 13-year-old DS is an aviation obsessive and has heard on the plane-spotting grapevine that they'll be doing training out of our local airport one day next week. We've seen them land there once before and hoping to go down and see them there again.
