What are the chances of me receiving this parcel?

Bought something second hand for £50

Seller sent a photo of the parcel before she sent it and I noticed she had put the house number, village name, town name and postcode but not the street name. I messaged her straight back but she had already posted it.

Having the house number and postcode on it, it should reach me, right? I cant afford to lose £50

I think postcodes tend to pin point streets? 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

It should be fine, the sorting machines at mail centres only scan for the number/house name and post code

My ds always orders stuff and only ever puts partial info on order. So, full postcode and just number gets to him fine

PyongyangKipperbang · 18/06/2020 17:29

I thought it probably would be ok, but was a bit worried!

I really hope it does get here!

It should get to you with just the house number and postcode. The rest of the address is just decoration.

plixy · 18/06/2020 17:58

I once had something delivered to me by mistake - wrong street, town and county. But it was my house number and postcode so it came to me.
I don't think they look at the rest of it.

House number and postcode is almost always all it takes to uniquely identify the address. Royal Mail should have no problems. If it's another courier, though, I don't know.
