Where do you keep all the toys?

2 DC, ages 3 and 4. My house is slowly disappearing under a sea of toys. Where do you keep them? What storage solutions do you have? Where do you put the Lego??? Will my house ever look normal again?

What age did you put all the toys in their room?

16 section IKEA Kallax with 8 boxes in the bottom and 8 cubby holes for my own shit! Then we have a kitchen and dolls house just living in our lounge.

I can't get kallax delivered. And am nowhere near an actual ikea. Most disappointed.

Oh no, I'm sure there are alternatives though, B&Q and Argos normally have some stuff. Maybe Google modular toy storage, there is hope! Mine are 2 and 3 and hoping I can move toys upstairs in a couple of years.

eBay or Facebook marketplace for kallax or I think great little trading used to do similar

@Wtfdidwedo mine are showing no signs of wanting to play upstairs. I keep looking but can't find anything as reafonable or suitable as kallax.

Open plan across every floor and surface Grin

DCs are 7 & 9. I'm done battling it now.

@BogRollBOGOF well thats not helpful!

Toys all over the place here. Except in my bedroom and the downstairs toilet.

The DC’s do not have bedrooms big enough to store more than a handful of toys. We’d have to get rid of almost all their toys if the toys were confined to bedrooms.

I got wooden crates from ikea that fit under DC bed and all the surplus toys go in there

I only allow a few downstairs and just the latest ones that actually play with and can easily be tidied away
