I noticed on another post last night someone suggested they google their partners name to see if they live with another woman / wife.

I'm not suspicious of my husband but I was just bored / nosey.

I thought I'd point out that even though a woman might be listed as living at the property it may not be correct. So not to do anything harsh.

So I typed DH name into192. It states he lives in a different area of the city ie M4 with myself and 4 other random people. Men and Women.

I clicked on my name. It has the correct area eg M5 and says husband also lives with me but two other people live with us. Both names look polish?? We have lived in M5 over 30 years and never lived in M4.

He works away and I'm the one who signed us up to vote / do all home admin. So I know he couldn't have for example written down an incorrect postcode and I know I haven't.

I know the names connected don't necessarily mean we all live in our home at present but we bought it10 years ago brand new. Only us 2 have ever lived here.

Does it matter that it looks like we live / have lived in two separate areas / homes over the past 10 years? When we haven't.

Do you think these two people have used our address in some way?

Will it affect our already shitty credit score?

It's probably a very common mistake so please don't have a go or say I have two much time on my hands. I'm not worried just curious.

credit score goes with people, not addresses. 192.com takes the data from the electoral roll, using the data for people who didn't spot the 'tick here to opt out of the edited register' box. Miss that tick and you will get deluged with spam and scams.

It could be a case of two people with the same name. And yes, someone else may be using your address, but that doesn't affect your credit rating. If you don't get post for them then I wouldn't worry. If you do, just write 'not known return to sender' and put it back in the post box.

BTW just checked myself on 192. I'm shown at an old address in 2002, either before the optout came in or before I was aware of it.

be aware that 192 is available on findmypast so it is worth staying out of it.

Hi it's definitely my husband as I'm on there too. What are the odds of someone having the same first middle and surname as myself and husband both living in the same city.

If it had us down at an old address I could understand it we have always lived in this area never the other.

I'm probably not explaining it well.
