Cotswold Company quality?

We're looking at buying a bed for DD from the Cotswold Company but have no idea what the quality is like (it seems to get good reviews but thought I'd ask on here). Does anyone have any experience of purchasing furniture from here?
Also, does anyone have a discount /referral code (if such a thing exists) Grin

I bought a load of bedroom furniture from them last year and was really happy with the quality. Delivery and communication was good as well, I had to phone them to clarify something and they were really helpful.

They have quite a few sales so keep an eye out. Don’t sign up for emails though as they send loads!

I’ve got loads of Cotswold Company furniture and it’s all great quality.

Can’t fault their customer service either.

Proudpeacock · 17/06/2020 22:12

I have had a couple of things from them and have always been happy with the quality.

Everything we've had from them has been. Great quality

I’ve got a bookcase and cupboard from them.
Very good quality and solidly built.
The cupboard had a very minor fault and I was offered either a replacement or a discount.

I have a lot from them and have always been really pleased. One thing arrived damaged due to the delivery company and they replaced it with no hassle at all.

I got a coffee table and a tv unit from there four years ago and they are still going strong. The coffee table is showing a bit of wear and tear but as it’s constantly being used that’s not surprising.

StCharlotte · 17/06/2020 22:22

Very good quality. I bought a chest of drawers from them nearly 20 years ago and a couple of moves later it's still going strong.

JLbaby · 17/06/2020 22:23

I have a few bits from there and I’m very happy with them. Good quality, solid items. Colours are also very accurate online too. Good customer service and delivery too from what I can remember.

Pleased to hear this, I've just ordered beds for DD and a spare room from there. They're due on Tuesday so I'll report back then!

omg35 · 17/06/2020 22:28

Brilliant quality and no flat pack!

PerfidiousAlbion · 17/06/2020 22:29

Fantastic quality. I bought bedroom furniture for three rooms a couple of years ago and was really pleased. I’d advise you pay for assembly for big items. I went with the white painted wood with interchangeable knobs (silver/wood).

I think the following code for 10% off is still valid (June 2020)

I agree, good quality furniture and excellent customer service

SWnewstart · 17/06/2020 22:56

We had a large bookcase from them in April - excellent product, good delivery service etc. Had another bookcase 2 weeks ago (different design but similar cost) and didn't notice until unpacked that one side had a 10cm scratch and small nick in the wood (oak). As it's the side facing a corner and doesn't show, decided to keep it. However, emailed customer services hoping for maybe a £10 voucher or something - apology at the very least, but nothing to date. I still rate the products, just not so impressed by after sales service.

Wolfgirrl · 17/06/2020 22:58

Yes I bought a bed and drawers recently. Lovely, solid and good quality - would reccomend.

Babyroobs · 18/06/2020 01:42

We have bedroom furniture and a coffee table and it's all good quality.

Shufflebumnessie · 18/06/2020 20:51

Thanks for all tbe replies. Good to hear the quality seems to be robust and long lasting.

I've had bedside tables there really nice and good quality

Mayhemmumma · 18/06/2020 22:31

Much of my house is cotswolds, I'm a big fan - tbh some is better quality than others (I have 13 peices!) my dining table and bench set in particular is beautiful! But it all looks really nice and has lasted well

kerkyra · 18/06/2020 22:37

My bedroom is kitted out with their furniture and it's lovely.

Dinosauraddict · 18/06/2020 22:38

I have a lovely dining table and chairs from there - still going years later Grin

Littlepurpleflower · 18/06/2020 22:41

I bought some velvet dining room chairs from them and within the first month I spilt a glass of red wine all over a yellow chair. I dabbed it and put cold water on it and now you can’t actually tell which chair it was. A miracle.

CoolShoeshine · 18/06/2020 22:47

I’ve got loads of stuff from there and generally ok but one of our wardrobes stinks! Like literally pongs. I thought it would wear off but 5 years later still stinky.

PrivateSpidey · 18/06/2020 22:51

Yes we have had a few things from there (bedside tables, chest of drawers, dresser) and they're all really good quality.
