I posted in "Other" products section but was worried not a lot of people would see it there.

I'm a 23 year old mumsnet lurker who comes across tips, recipes and product reviews mainly.

In short, these Toothbrushes are designed for children to use alone, but the rubbery material that is all over the brush has come off of both brushes I have used. I should have reported earlier, bur I thought it was just onw bad one and didn't think about the kids using them.

I don’t think I would expect a Poundland toothbrush to last long? And surely if aimed at 2-6 year olds then they will be supervised when brushing?

SunshineCake · 17/06/2020 17:34

Use alone as in the child holds the brush, not in that they are in the room alone Hmm.

Have you told Poundland? If they’re a hazard they’ll have them recalled

these Toothbrushes are designed for children to use alone,

Well yes, but that means them brushing their own teeth, not completely unsupervised!

whiplashy · 17/06/2020 19:06

I think you’re still meant to supervise

bookmum08 · 17/06/2020 19:09

Have you contacted Poundland, the company that naked the toothbrush and trading standards?
They will check out any safety issues around them but unless you contact them they wont know.

bookmum08 · 17/06/2020 19:10

makes the toothbrush. Not naked.
