Anyone not got a passion for anything?

Was reading the "anyone else not good at anything thread" and it got me thinking. I am reasonably good at lots of things, but excel at nothing. I also don't have a passion for anything. I see lots of career advice saying to find a job you love, how do you do that without a passion. I do lots of hobbies, but nothing that I would say is a passion. Has anyone discovered a passion, if so how did you discover it?

I did and I failed miserably at it despite trying to do it for 20 years. I was flogging a dead horse and making myself miserable in the process so I gave up.

So no, I don’t. I have no hobbies, no interest in anything much apart from travel which I won’t be able to afford to do again.

Travel is my passion but I can't really make a career out of it - I'm no good at writing and I don't want to be a travel agent. Apart from that, nothing.

I don't agree with the advice to do what you love for a living. If you end up being treated badly by an employer then you'll end up hating it. I love one particular clothing company but I also know they have a reasonably high staff turnover. Far better to find a job that you just like, and pursue hobbies in your spare time.

Also I'm very sceptical that anyone has a "passion" for marketing or accountancy. Maybe you're good at it, or it suits your lifestyle or whatever, but "passion" is all job advert jargon really.

Yes I love travel too, but no good at writing either.

Nope no passion for anything. Never have had. If I start something ie learning the piano I would work at it until I was 'good enough' in my eyes but I wouldn't be passionate about it. I have begun to think that I'm just a soulless creature who doesn't care enough about anyone or anything tbh,

Yes me!! I’m 28 and hate my job and I’m always trying to think of something i could do that if truly love.
The only things I really enjoy are planning, organisation and travel but not sure how they could make for a successful career, especially given the current situation!

I've only had OK jobs, looking at taking early retirement. Would love a lifestyle job that would bring in a small income, but no idea what.
