Asda order not arrived

Trying to help my dad, who is not confident with computers and internet shopping. He managed to set up an online account with Asda and ordered a food shop. It was meant to arrive today but it hasn't. No money has been taken from his bank account and when he logs into his Asda account, he says that it say the order was not completed. Does anyone know what might have gone wrong?

I have always done his online shopping for him via my Asda account, first time he's plucked up the courage to do it himself it hasn't worked Sad there was more than enough money in his bank account to pay for it.

It looks as if he hasn't competed the order. They haven't taken payment, he hasn't received confirmation, nothing has arrived, but v most of all the c website says the order hasn't been completed.
Have you been through how he paid with him? Ie did he click submit, put the right details in etc.

I agree with pp

Thank you both, I will check with him in the morning. He said he entered his bank details but maybe he didn't click through all the confirmation screens.

If the website still shows a "basket" full of items then I think it means you never actually checked out. Either not clicking through everything or because of a bug on the website. I did it once before.

Super annoying, but all you can do is pick a new slot and make sure to complete the checking out this time.

Turns out my dad didn't enter the 3 digit number on the back of his bank card so the order didn't get paid for or made.

👍🏼
Glad you got to the bottom of it.

And well done to Dad for almost getting there. He'll do it next time.

I'm a seasoned, experienced, war wounded online shopper and I very nearly did the same on the Asda website the other week. It didn't give me the bright red, cannot compute, thou shalt go no further error message that other websites do, and just sort of put my order back in 'amending'. So he shouldn't feel bad.

Thank you all!

He's had a second attempt and got a confirmation email that the order has been placed. I'm really proud of him Smile
