Want to move and wanted to ask if now is a good time to sell and buy?

My brother is an estate agent and is really busy. Is finding a lot of people moving from the city to countryside, I guess because working from home now seems like more of a norm going forward.

Just trying to work out if prices are likely to plummet

A family member is an estate agent, he's really busy with pent up demand but I guess it's still early days in terms of offers being made and accepted. We're selling shortly and will be setting one area up as a home office for viewings. Think that will make the house more attractive to buyers.

If you sell for less, you generally buy for less too. Over many years of buying and selling, I've found that unless you are making huge jumps either up or down in value or buying for the first time, if you can find a buyer who will pay enough for you to buy the home you want, that's a good time to do it.

It’s all relative if you are both buying and selling really. Unless you don’t plan on staying in the new place for long. Now may be a better time than waiting a year or so when the full impact of this situation hits people financially.
