Coronavirus risks and birthdays/holidays..

Hello,

Apologies I don't quite know what topic this should have been..

I wanted to book for me my partner and our DS (he will be 3) to go abroad next September 2021 however I am cautious of the unknown of a second wave and don't want to fork out loads to have to change everything over (it would have been a 30th birthday gift to my partner)

Do you think there will be a second wave and it would be silly booking to go away?

Anyone else have birthday suggestions? I did think maybe just to go away somewhere for a few nights and then not a lot of money is wasted in case of a reschedule, I'm just very unsure about what to do Sad

Who knows? Just book something that it cancellable if you're worried.

I am very confident there will be a second wave but it’s much more likely to be September 2020 than a year later.

Packages should be easy to change or cancel should you need to. There's also ATOL protection should the company you book with go bust and if you pay by credit card, that's extra protection there.

Jet2holidays have been very good in accommodating changes and cancellations and fly to a wide range of destinations for city breaks or European sun holidays of flexible duration and a variety of locations (quiet, lively, authentic, any type of destination really).

What sort of break are you thinking about?

Thank you very much!

I do think there will be a second wave, I am restricted to when I can book as I'm due to start university this year to do nursing and you get very little time off..

@BarbaraofSeville something more family friendly beach holiday so Majorca.. nothing fancy or long haul as we have a LO we haven't flown with yet! X
