How much housework can you get done alone with a toddler?

Honestly my house has gone to hell in a hand cart. I thought being home all the time would mean I could organise and sort and be one of those mums that colour codes socks.

Tried to have a Big Clean today and basically washed up, changed bedding, and moved shite from one surface to another.

Dd is 3.5. She can entertain herself mostly. Why is it so fucking difficult?!!!

None, DC1 can cause more destruction and mess than I can tidy in the same time if left unattended so its counter productive

It depends tbh. Mine is 14 months and some days she’ll play happily for hours and I get loads done with cuddle, feeding or reading breaks with her and can make lovely meals, do several loads of laundry, clean, tidy, bake and generality achieve. Other days, like today, she was grizzly, teething and tired despite two good naps and I gave up trying to do anything so we both got in the bath and played with plastic ducks then had a lie down.

Tomorrow is another day!
