Bollocks - My Son Just Escaped His Cot

Exactly that. He’ll be 2 in 4 weeks. Going through a terrible sleep regression at the minute. He’s woken multiple times already tonight. He woke again, I spoke to him to say I’d be a minute and I nipped to the loo. There was a thud, a giggle then a thunder of footsteps before the bathroom door burst open. He’s now in my bed 😩

Looks like it may be time to toddler proof his room, get a gate for his door and turn his cot into a bed. I am so not ready for this 😳

DS was just under 2, we took the side off his cot. After 2 weeks of falling out (and waking up) every single night, we bought a toddler bed with safety rail. Went back to sleeping through. He's still in that bed (without rail!) at 8.

My 6mo keeps measuring his arms and legs against the edge of the cot. Caught him trying to use the sides to sit up so it won’t be long before he tries some acrobatics. You’re lucky it happened at 2!
