My LO is now 16 months and I've only just realised that it says not to take when breastfeeding as too much iron is harmful to babies!!
I never knew this. What vitamins should I take? I've seen there are specific ones for breastfeeding but these are way more expensive than just standard multi vitamins. What does everyone else take?

I’m pretty sure iron doesn’t pass into breast milk - if it did it wouldn’t be so important that they start getting it from food after 6 months when their stores from pregnancy are depleted. I’m not a medical professional but did a lot of googling because I’m breastfeeding and recently started an iron supplement!
