Please tell me your weekly diet and do your kids eat the same things you do?

We eat quite a lot of fish and I'm worried we're going to have to change to nursery food when baby is older because we're surely not going to make two of everything. It's important to us to eat a lot of vegetables too and I'm dreading having a fussy eater.

Also, what do you do about salt? I know babies shouldn't have salt but when can they start having a bit more? I can't imagine eating a homemade soup without any salt in it, it would taste awful!

Breakfast

I usually have a banana or maybe some scrambled eggs on toast at the weekend. DH will just snack on nuts.

Lunch

Homemade vegetable soup - pea, minestrone or tomato (which I think would be ok but what about salt?) or salad with tomatoes, olives, capers (so quite grown-up flavours but I guess we could easily change that)

Dinner

Fish pie, pasta puttanesca, steamed salmon with asparagus, pasta bake, vegetarian curry

Please tell me what you eat and if you've had to change your eating habits as kids get older?

I did BLW with Dd, so she ate everything I did. I just salted food after I’d cooked it. She ate fabulously (fish, olives, seafood, rare meat, curries, everything!) until she turned 2 where she wouldn’t eat anything apart from toast, peas, cheesy pasta and fruit for about a year. Ime there isn’t much you can do about it, and most children go through a fussy phase.

She’s now 3.5 and eats really well again. There’s certain things she won’t try, so I just cook her something quick and easy and we eat later anyway.

I haven’t changed my food habits (ex chef so v adventurous) but have worked it so dd has good she will like.
