HSBC - post office banking

I’ve been paying in cash at the post office using my bank card, it’s so much easier than going to a HSBC branch.

However I’ve lost my card today Blush and need to pay in cash to cover a bill before I will get the replacement card.

Does anyone know if I can pay in at the post office using a paying in slip? Or will I need to go to a bank for that? The HSBC website says pay in only with a card.

You can only pay cash in at the post office with a card for any bank. Cheques you can do with a slip

You mean you can pay into your HSBC account at a PO? Bloody hell - that’s a revelation. I have cash sitting at home as the thought of going to the bank fills me with dread. I can handle the PO.

I bank with TSB and can pay cash in at the PO but only with a paying in slip (they copy the details off it and return it to me...I always keep one in my purse for just this purpose!) Worth asking if they'll take it with a slip...
