Maggot found in brownie bite

Hey, I’m new to this, last week I brought a box of brownie bite from a high chain store “can’t say what store” and nearly finished the box, then when I bit into one, I discover a maggot in the middle of it. I’ve contacted health inspector and “the store” but the store doesn’t seem bothered at all. What should I do. I haven’t ate in 3 days because it was horrible and can’t get it off my head. I ate 2 boxes full before even noticing 🤢

Just giving this thread a bump for you in case anyone's around to offer some advice.

Did you take a photo? Ideal if you did, but don't worry if not.

How did you contact them? In person?

E mail the store, hopefully you got a photo, get on Twitter to shame them if no response. Use ring Facebook messenger and or posting on their Facebook page usually gets a response.

Using not use ring

Was it the stores own brand? If not then contact the producer. There is generally an address on the back saying if you are not happy with the quality contact .......
