Hello Fresh customers - have they got worse?

Has anybody else had problems recently?

They were great for our first weeks but the last four weeks we have had damaged items - twice packs of expensive meat have been split open and so not fit to eat, last week we had the wrong ingredients and got one meal twice but minus the meat for the second the one. This week the pot of soured cream was damaged.

I can go and buy another pot of cream but I wish they'd just fix it so it doesn't happen. They don't seem bothered, it's just 'here's some credit for your next order'. Packing a pot of soured cream in a bag with ice packs isn't going to end well!

What annoys me is they they never seem to do anything about it, week after week we have a damaged box and missing items and they just keep on handing over the refunds. Yes, I expect a refund and the refund is always more, way more, than the cost of the damaged item but as a business model it is a very poor one.

This week we had a £15 refund for the damaged soy sauce sachet, garlic bulb (both of which I have in the kitchen anyway) and a pack of chicken for 2 people. I've added organic chicken fillets to our supermarket order for much less than the refund so it's great for me but how sustainable is it for their business?

We order a box for 2 people so we aren't their top spenders, they are losing 1/3 of the cost of this week's box which was already reduced because of the refund from last week.

It annoyed me as they didn't refund me but "credit" my account which meant I had to buy another box to use the credit. So I didn't even bother complaining on the last one as I knew I didn't want to order again.

I was a bit anxious about our Gousto box (first time ina while) after reading this thread but its perfect!!! We've had 4 really lovely meals and going to continue next week.

Yes!!!

We’ve used Hello Fresh for a few years, probably skipping one in five weeks but we’ve had a lot of boxes in our time.

I have never had so many issues! Every box has had a problem in the last three months, off-meat and lots of missing items, often the main ingredient. We skipped a few weeks and have tried again and there were still lots of issues. We might try one of the others which we never have.

We both work full time and DH likes cooking so it’s convenient ... when it works!

I've had an email from Hellofresh saying my order will be delivered Wednesday and my payment of £41.99 has been approved.
I have never had hellofresh before or signed up for deliveries other than clicking a half price offer link on my business Facebook page, I looked through the recipes (2 weeks ago) to see if there was anything I'd be interested in and just left it and they have very cheekily taken payment out of my business PayPal which is the registered account on my Facebook. Waiting now for them to get back to me via email as the lady on the phone wasn't very helpful Angry
