By adding spinach to their Macaroni Cheese.
Spinach is only ok on a week day apparently. Who knew?

I love kale in macaroni cheese. I crisp it a bit in the oven with garlic oil first.

Ginkypig · 13/06/2020 22:30

I like spinach but you don't put it it macaroni!

Peas or possibly sweet corn or even broccoli though to add colour and veg, yummy!

Onion is nice too but doesn't add the colour or health element.

After reading this I definately need to learn how to make macaroni cheese from scratch or just how to make it full stop Grin hubby will not be impressed though (might be accused of attempted murder as hes lactose intolerant.. but it dosent stop him eating pizza so dont see the problem Grin)

Tbh I’m a massive spinach fan and eat a lot of it but didn’t tonight . It’s Saturday fgs woman ! Wink

maddiemookins16mum · 13/06/2020 22:36

How could you, those poor wains.

LabradorGalore · 13/06/2020 22:36

You filthy wrong’un. Why would you put spinach in macaroni cheese.

They are both wonderful but not together. If ever I’m serving an unhealthy carb loaded meal I chop up some raw peppers and serve them on the side. DC usually eat those first!

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 13/06/2020 22:42

If you want healthy and a pop of colour add tomato and bacon to macaroni cheese

elliejjtiny · 13/06/2020 22:47

No, you need broccoli, bacon and garlic if you want to add stuff to macaroni cheese.

Inkpaperstars · 13/06/2020 22:50

I've just had macaroni cheese with grated radish. Grin

Snagscardies · 13/06/2020 23:06

What the fuck are the orange bits in it???

WinWinnieTheWay · 13/06/2020 23:16

@Snagscardies

They are bacon croutons, but they added them with their own free will.

phew on my phone they look like carrots which is the ultimate macaroni sin as it makes it look even more like vomit.

However I'm very concerned that you are not seeking repentance for your reckless desecration, rather you seem somewhat jovial about the whole fiasco.
