I hope I'm not going to be told I've been blocked. I tried to message someone, who I really can't think of any reason why they would block me, anyway I have a white circle with a grey outline and grey tick. What does this mean? I sent a message a few days ago. I can see that shes been online.

As far as i knew it meant that my message hadn't been delivered but if i can see shes been online 20mins ago why not?

Not sure why it hasn't delivered but if you were blocked you'd get a 'you can't reply to this conversation' thing at the bottom of the chat.

Ghostlyglow · 13/06/2020 20:11

It means they haven't read your message yet,as in actually clicked on it.

Redcrow · 13/06/2020 20:30

Hhm thank you. I've just realised her pic hasnt come up at the bottom of a group chat we are both part of either. Weird. Doesn't sound like theres much I can do. Wish I'd taken her phone number so I could text

It’s been delivered, she just hasn’t read it. She also hasn’t read the latest group chat either, that’s why you don’t see her picture there.

Earinglady · 13/06/2020 20:55

I think on messenger if someone has blocked you you wouldn’t be able to send a message. They wouldn’t exist to you if you know what I mean.
Not like WhatsApp where if someone blocks you they are still on your list

Tootles2 · 13/06/2020 21:33

I think that If they aren’t your friend on fb then messages sometimes don’t show in your message list. They either go into message requests (click on your profile pic, then message requests) or I think there’s an icon that appears at the top. It often takes a while to realise they are there.

fantasmasgoria1 · 13/06/2020 21:41

It's been delivered but as yet the recipient hasn't actually opened it.

runningpink · 13/06/2020 21:44

This means it hasn’t been delivered. Usually happens if the person isn’t connected to the internet but sometimes Iv found it happens for no reason.
Might be worth sending the message again

runningpink · 13/06/2020 21:45

It will go blue when delivered successfully then show her picture once it’s been read
