It's a male pheasant.

sparklefarts · 12/06/2020 16:53

Big stupid birds but beautiful. 😂

PickAChew · 12/06/2020 16:55

We see them strewn all over the A1(M) in October.

Stupid birds, they are.

TheMandalorian · 12/06/2020 16:57

Pheasant and seagull. The pheasant is delicious. Seagull probably not.

LadyFeliciaMontague · 12/06/2020 17:00

I thought it was a trick question because there were 3 birds in the pic -it’s been a long week Grin

I got seagull & pheasant but I can’t make out the small black one because I can’t zoom in enough to see. Anyone know what that one is?

Herecomethehotstepper · 12/06/2020 17:00

They are beautiful idiots that dart in front of your car at the last moment causing you to almost flip your vehicle to avoid them. I do love them though 😊

PickAChew · 12/06/2020 17:11

The smaller black bird is a jackdaw. You can see its hoodie :o

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 12/06/2020 17:23

They also zoom out of the undergrowth screeching at full volume when you walk past. Scared me half to death too many times!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 12/06/2020 17:27

Also an interesting fact that I only found out in the last year is that there is no such bird as a Seagull. Just lots of types of gull.

The one in the picture looks like a Herring Gull but it hard to tell from that picture.

My DH kept trying to say it was a grouse, but I couldn't quite get the name! Was on the top of my tongue
