Weekend Plans?

I really don’t know where the weeks are going! Anyone doing much this weekend? It’s bucketing down here in Cornwall but is apparently going to be as hot as Madrid tomorrow. If so, we’ll hit the beach as DD seems to be happiest in the sea. I love it too. We were thinking of going out for brekkie but DD’s attitude is shocking at the mo.11 going on teen! Trying to cut her a bit of slack because of this weird situation but she’s not nice to be around some of the time. She had a half day at school today & I found myself wishing she was still doing her usual hours!
Chippie tea as usual tomorrow night. Sunday might be the beach again. Will go to the butchers at some point as fancy roast lamb, mint sauce & Jersey Royals yum. Might check out “ The Luminaries” which could maybe replace Poldark - Sunday nights are not the same without my Ross fix!

I'm going to see family now I can be in a bubble. I haven't touched someone else since the 12th March. Can't wait!

curly100 · 12/06/2020 16:53

DD is going to make some biscuits for a school competition and is getting out on the golf course on Sunday evening. I need to have a relaxing one as last weekend was far too manic (mainly stuff to do with the organisation I volunteer for and organising DD baking and art projects) and I'm not relishing getting back to my days/weekends being timetabled by others.

Finished work for the week at 4.15. It has been a really long week.
Dbaby turns 1 tomorrow Grin hes gone to bed already (sleeps from 6pm til til 6/7am) so me and ds are going to put up decorations soon.
We got dbaby musical toys so he should love them, he loves music and dancing.
Were going to have a bit of party food tomorrow and I've ordered a special cake for him.
Sunday will be doing the food shopping and getting ready for another week.

Boring one just doing tea steak pie from the local butchers and a concoction for fussy DD, Netflix binge for me and DH later (teens hiding out in bedrooms talking to friends on SM), possibly cleaning the house, a nice walk, food shop, indian takeaway and virtual family quiz, Sunday teen DS meeting friends (the first time since lockdown), DD might meet a friend, a nice walk, relaxing, virtual FB quiz in the afternoon (will try to
persuade the teens to join us, Netflix and chill.

Meeting up with 2 best friends for curry and wine. In a few minutes. Can't wait. Have really missed them.

MrMagooInTheLoo · 12/06/2020 18:21

Doing nothing.. Definitely won't be spending Sunday night awake worrying about going back to work on Monday!!! First day since lockdown. The plans in place for social distancing are awful. One in particular is if someone is walking past you one of you has to stop and face the wall

starrynight19 · 12/06/2020 18:22

Hoping it stops raining tomorrow and can get out in the garden.
Have worked in school all week so happy for a rest. They are extremely long days in the same room all week with your bubble.
Hoping if the weather picks up can meet a friend and her dc for a social distance walk on Sunday.

Wotrewelookinat · 12/06/2020 18:23

Dinghy sailing and kayaking on the local river 😊

Impatientwino · 12/06/2020 18:58

Just cooked a nice dinner and currently in a deep bath - going to watch something on Netflix and have a few glasses of wine with DH tonight.

Off to a friends garden lunchtime tomorrow to celebrate his birthday - he's having a drop in throughout the day so we'll pop by to say hi and drop off a gift and hopefully have our arm twisted to have a glass of something.

In the evening I'm off to have an outdoor cinema in my friends garden (she's going to turn her TV round inside her patio doors Grin) and we're going to sit outside and watch a film, stuff our faces with crisps and wine and catch up. Been far too long!

Sunday is lazy day in our house so bike ride and jigsaw on the agenda then eldest DS wants to make beefburgers, chips and salad for dinner (we rotate who chooses Sunday dinner) but plan to not do much that day!

wendz86 · 12/06/2020 19:30

Both girls have dance classes on zoom. I need to clean the house a bit then we are popping over to a friends garden as it's their 40th so going to wish them happy birthday and have a catch up.
Not sure Sunday yet. Probably just stay at home and garden time if the weather is nice as predicted.

AdoptedBumpkin · 12/06/2020 19:35

Going to take my DD out if the weather is good enough. Rain is forecast for most of the day.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/06/2020 19:36

Forecast is rain here, but we're hoping for a socially distanced picnic with some friends, and then social distanced garden visit with other friends. Zoom quiz with family on Sunday.

Raera · 12/06/2020 19:38

Family zoom tonight with wine.
Tomorrow, continue my sewing project and then dinner "out" with DH in the evening (campervan on the drive!)
Sunday, more sewing, then friends zoom with more wine in the evening.
Loving the outdoor cinema idea, sadly our conservatory patio doors face the wrong way.

Pipandmum · 12/06/2020 19:38

Where are you able to go out for breakfast?
Its sunny here now. Tomorrow my daughter is going to meet up with her friends for the first time since March on the beach. There is a cafe down there doing takeaway. I'm meeting a friend for a dog walk on the beach and lunch to try out her new outdoor dining set (any excuse). My son will be working out and going for a long cycle ride. Swim in pool. Chill.

greenlynx · 12/06/2020 20:02

It’s going to be quiet weekend because of the weather. It’s rainy and cold and not going to change, can’t believe it’s a middle of June. DD needs to finish her h/w. DH and I have some paperwork to do for the next week. We also will be doing batch baking on Sunday to use up eggs.

MrsJBaptiste · 12/06/2020 20:09

I should be sat on a plane right now heading off to the Med... ✈
Instead I'm sat on my own drinking wine with the heating on 😣

So not many plans for this weekend... walks, baking, reading - hopefully in some sun albeit in the garden not be a pool!

CoffeeRevelLove · 12/06/2020 20:37

I've got my bffs drinking wine with me in the garden tomorrow. Greatly needed as I've been working insanely hard at work with my boss of sick. I've missed my decompress with friends. Even though I'm working all weekend I will be enjoying myself tomorrow night Grin

Despite being full on at work since January, I've no idea where the weeks are going. Possibly a trip to the garden centre with my daughter

ssd · 12/06/2020 20:40

Would love to go a nice run tomorrow but we're in Scotland and are staying local.
Will go another walk....
