Post-surgery pillow recommendations

I have shoulder surgery planned next month and will be wearing a shoulder support in bed for several weeks afterwards.

Can anyone recommend a good pillow which will support my shoulder and arm? I'm thinking of a wedge pillow and Amazon have a few but I can't choose which one to go for. I have a V- pillow already which I will use with it.

Also, I will have DH and kids around to help, but any post-surgery tips would be much appreciated.

Hello, I have had two shoulder surgeries in the last couple of years, both for a labral tear. I had to sleep in my sling for the first few weeks each time, and just used a v shaped pillow and lay on my back. I found that ok, but had to change the side of the bed I slept on so I could use my good arm to lift up the duvet and get out!

My two other top tips pre surgery are to get vests with built in support to step into and pull up rather than wear a bra, and also a non slip mat to put under whatever you are trying to eat one-handed.

If you have any other questions, let me know! Hope your surgery goes well!

Thanks @ShoesJerry. I've just ordered some vests and great tip about the non slip mat.

No worries, happy to help. If you can't get a non slip mat, a wet tea towel works just as well. Best of luck with your surgery!
