Hi! I remember people on here raving about a specific vegan cheese company at Christmas time as they did an amazing cheese board!

Does anyone know what it was called? Thanks!

I don't know, but I really don't believe that any decent vegan cheese exists. It all tastes like feet in my opinion. The only edible thing I've found is Nush Almond cheese spread - but that's a soft spread and isn't really trying to be cheese.

I find it easier just to forget about cheese altogether [helpful]

Applewood vegan cheese is very realistic, you can get it in Asda and also various places online if you Google it

Violife did a cheeseboard at Christmas, it might be that one you're thinking of? I'm not wild about most of their cheeses, but their new Epic Mature is incredible (although still not much like mature cheddar).

I've found it in Sainsbury's and my local vegan shop; not sure about other supermarkets.

Ha, @thecatneuterer I understand where you’re coming from!... Best to ignore for sure! AndI’m pretty good at that to be fair, but we (me and dh) used to really love port and stilton-at christmas so thought I‘d try and find him a ‘cheese’ board for fathers day

I don’t think it was violife... I think... pretty sure now, thinking about it, that it was cashew based

Ah... possibly @DesmondTheMoonbear! Thank you.

I just remember people on here complaining because it was constantly sold out over Christmas time

DoorKnobber · 11/06/2020 21:12

Haven’t found anything like a bit of blue stilton

DoorKnobber · 11/06/2020 21:31

Ah, @dowser that’s a shame! I haven't really look as I can imagine it would be difficult!
