Bad piles - help!

Hi all!

Long story short, I've had external (and internal!) piles for a couple of years now and take all the relevant meds and creams. One seems to have ulcerated or thrombosed, and is seriously bloody painful. My GP (who is honestly next to useless) has said to leave it and keep using the creams I have. I think that's nonsense and the one that's bad is currently bleeding, not heavily but pretty constant blood. No bowel movements or anything similar today. Anyone ever had similar? They thrombosed when I was pushing in labour a year or so ago, but didn't bleed as badly. Help! Confused

Can you afford to get them privately sorted? I have mild ones at the moment due to pregnancy and I don't think they fully disappeared after the first pregnancy. If you can't go private definitely just keep on at your GP

I’ve had a lot of thrombosed piles post dc 2 - labour, awful pain, you have my sympathies. Have you got an ice pack? Icing it helped the most.

I hear you can freeze a sanitary towel, you can buy special ice packs in boots but essentially anything you can use to freeze it.

Have you got scheriproct?

Have they given you any suppositories not just cream? I should’ve nc for this too!

I have the bastards too. I find less veg and more water helps. You wanna be able to poop every day, but only the once.

I never found the creams helped at all.
So I no longer bother my ass with them...quite literally xD

Thanks all - the sense of humour helps :-) yes I have suppositories, I also have had all my tests (could have IBS / IBD no doc can tell) postponed until next year; had lots of birth injuries too, but haven't been seen or treated for them. It's all a bit of a mess down there!
