Foul taste after tooth extraction?

So I had it out!

Tuesday afternoon. Last night it felt much better, but during the night it was very painful and there was a foul taste.
Pain better than it was now but foul taste still there. It’s disgusting!

Has anyone had this? Is it normal or does it mean the dreaded dry socket??

Maybe infection? Phone the dentist for advice.

It is difficult to say - do you rinse your mouth with antiseptic mouthwash or warm salt water? Do you smoke?

If you are worried, then book emergency dentist appointment. I'm always scared about these things so I run to dentist at any sign of trouble!
