Viagogo tickets

We’ve got tickets booked for a concert next weekend. Obviously not going ahead now. Viagogo have said the concert will be rescheduled so they will issue replacement tickets, rather than refund. The problem is, the concert is in a city that requires a plane journey and hotel.

Although booked on credit card, I believe section 75 doesn’t apply as viagogo are a 3rd party.

I have travel insurance but there is a £150 excess. The tickets were £300. Can I claim on my travel insurance (and get £150 of the £300 back) and then try and resell the tickets on viagogo (once the new dates are announced) to try and recoup the other £150? Or do the tickets belong to the travel insurance co, once I’ve made a claim?

I have annual travel insurance, taken out in June 2019 and the tickets were booked in December 2019 - so should be covered for Covid disruption.
