Selling a house

Accepted an offer on our house 3 weeks ago and the survey still hasn't been done. Is this normal? I don't want to pressurise our buyers if this is a usual time scale.

Yes, I would think very normal right now. We made an offer on a house in early March, which was accepted. Not everyone gets a survey done (if you mean like a private buyer's survey - we didn't, don't see the point if you know what you're doing), but the mortgage lender will do a valuation. We submitted our final mortgage application documents shortly after that in probably the 2nd ish week of March. The valuation was only completed last week (so took nearly 3 months).

Obviously 2 months or so of that was lockdown, but we were told that the valuation people are very backed up with people who were in the queue before lockdown happened (like us) and there is a backlog of cases to work through.
