My boyfriend who I posted about recently has stooped to a whole new low. I got paid last night after working many extra hours in my job to find he has hacked into my paypal and sent himself hundreds of pounds of my earning. I am a student with a part time job and this sort of money is a lot for me. I don't know what to do and how to get it back as he logged into my paypal and sent it to himself so I don't even know if this considered fraud? Please can anyone help me.

I recommend you speak to the police. They are best placed to advise you.

Op, I think you do know what to do, the first question is why are you calling him your boyfriend and not your ex? And the second is you phone the police when someone steals from you.

Are you living together as a couple? Do you want to end the relationship?

Mumoblue · 10/06/2020 08:42

First of all contact the police, and then PayPal customer service. I dont know how much they'll be able to help you, but I'm sure you wont be the first person this has happened to.

Change your passwords on everything, set up a new email.

I hope you have ended the relationship or are making plans to. Speak to women's aid if you need help with the practical side of it, I'm sure they can advise you.

Sorry he's done this OP, it's totally unacceptable.

Did you give him your log in details, or did he actually ‘hack in’?

If you gave him your log in there is probably little you can do about the money.

But whatever happens about the money you need to get away from him and get him out of your life.

What is your first step towards that?

I wish you strength and support as you get away from him.

Police. Immediately. No hesitation. Do it.

You need to check your devices for key logging and other spy software.

Police first, they may be able to help with that too.
