Weirdest food safety question

Tittie · 09/06/2020 18:53

I was given some lovely little silicone moulds recently, which are designed for food use, but the donor had been using to make natural soap. They are clean, but a little stained in places, presumably from essential oils and natural dyes and things that were used to make the soaps.

I want to use them for baking as they're so pretty...but is this safe? I mean, soap is clean right?!

I have a silicone mould that I use to make soaps and muffins. I'm still alive. Give it a good rinse with hot water.

Thank you! I'll be doing some dainty baking this week then Smile
