Anyone have the BENGTA blackout curtain from IKEA?

We’re getting new windows put in soon and I want to change some of the curtains as well - would like blackout ones in blue for the DCs bedroom. Can’t really go for a browse around all the homeware stores at the moment, but I came across these and thought they might work. They’re very cheap though and possibly also too shiny... If anyone has seen them ‘in the flesh’ I’d be very grateful for a review!

Yes - literally put it up yesterday!

Sorry I posted too soon in my excitement lol!

It is one curtain and is completely plastic so doesn’t feel nice - but it’s a curtain so who cares?! It doesn’t need hemming although if you can be bothered you can. We cut ours in half lengthwise and matched the hemmed edges. It’s great as a black out curtain. It’s also a nice shade of blue/grey.

Not shiny on the blue side at all btw although it is shiny on the black side.

Thank you! That’s great to know, I think I’ll bite the bullet and get two of them delivered - not planning to go near IKEA which had queues halfway around the car park on the first day it reopened Confused

I went to Warrington on Sunday and it was fine. I don't think the Bengta was available for delivery (although I think it might vary from store to store).

If you want more luxurious curtains for your room the Majgull ones are really really nice.

Late to the thread but are these curtains thick like would they keep in the heat?
